Job Description
Currently accepting applications for Advanced AND Primary Care Paramedics with practitioner responsibilities in accordance with the Saskatchewan Paramedics Act, current practice guidelines associated with Paramedic Clinical Protocols in providing full, unrestricted applicable scope of practice treatment and internal administrative and operational policy and procedures.
In addition to ensuring consistent and proficient utilization of medical and communications equipment; individuals must possess excellent verbal/written communication skills and maintain a positive, professional relationship with field personnel, administrative staff, associated law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and other medical personnel. Individuals must also possess and demonstrate a positive leadership role within the organization, with mentorship and initiative qualities, and also in the EMS profession as a whole in the public environment. Organizational skills and a detail-orientated sense of task completions with the ability to work in both small and moderately sized teams at a varied pace is also required. Diversified experience in EMS/health care is an asset but not required.
Medavie Health Services (MHS) West (Moose Jaw) delivers a mixture of BLS & ALS service delivery in both an urban & rural environment utilizing both on-call & on-site deployment. As the population & economy of the city and surrounding area of Moose Jaw grows, so does the need for EMS delivery & the practitioners to deliver it.
Many professional opportunities exist within Moose Jaw & District EMS with the diversity of the service delivery that includes a community involvement, public education, internal/external training with many more future service delivery initiatives.
